Groove Metal out of Munich Bavaria

"Brewed in Bavaria" no longer stands just for great beer, but also for modern, uncompromising metal from Munich. SOUTHERN DEIMOS blend heavy groove metal with thrash, progressive and melodic influences, creating a sound that is both direct and layered.

Formed in 2018 and fully active on stage since 2022, the five-piece has quickly established itself as a strong live act. Crushing riffs, dynamic drums and powerful, charismatic vocals define their intense performances, always driven by groove and energy.

Lyrically, Southern Deimos balance personal reflection with subtle social commentary. Inspired in parts by the singer’s Bangladeshi background, songs like “Land of Chaos” and “Polashi” explore historical and social themes without turning the band into a political statement.

After early demo releases, the band dropped their first official single “Justified War” in 2022, followed by the EP Urban Jungle in early 2024. Southern Deimos have since proven their live capability at festivals such as StuStaCulum, STAC Festival and Storm over Munich, as well as by winning the United Metalheadz & Metal Maniacs Bandcontest.
